I like to sit on my back deck and enjoy the view of the flower gardens, bird feeders and hummingbird feeders. Sometimes you need to sit back and just enjoy the view and reap the rewards of your hard work.
On many occasions I will make a jar of refrigerator tea. A few years ago, it would have been sun tea but I read an article on the dangers of bacteria lurking in the tea. The water temperature does not get hot enough sitting in the sun and is the right temperature to grow harmful bacteria.
Instead of traditional sun tea, I make refrigerator tea.
Place a quart of cold water in a pitcher or jar. Place 5-6 pre-packaged tea bags in the pitcher and refrigerate the mixture overnight. In the morning remove the tea bags and squeeze out the moisture. Serve over ice.
